Steel Magnolias (1989, PG)
Emotional chick-flick that gets quite sad. It's about friendship, despair, heartbreak and hope. Great performances all-round from some excellent actresses including Julia Roberts, Shirley Maclaine, Dolly Parton, Daryl Hannah, and Olympia Dukakis. But the best performance came from Sally Field. Tom Skerritt was also good as the father. One of the better chick-flicks. |
