"Put the bunny back in the box"...plenty of action, completely ridiculous series of events, and ultimately an entertaining movie, somewhat despite itself.

It's totally silly and goofy even but seeing this cast together in one movie is a lot of fun. It's not a great movie, yet it's still better than a lot of the crap Nicolas Cage has been making.

Con Air Rocks! This movie is so action packed. It is filled with nonstop action and violence throughout. It has great/outstanding acting from the 3 main actors; which is Nicolas Cage, John Cusack and John Malkovich. (Nicolas Cage) plays Cameron Poe;which is a ex con and former US Ranger who comes back to see his wife. While seeing and finding out that his wife Trish Poe who plays (Monica Potter) is pregnant at the bar where she works, they get harrased by a drunk guy. As Cameron and his wife Trish go out to get in their car, the drunk guy is harrasing them again. This time the drunk guy brought some of his buddies. So, Cameron couldn't take it and lost control and as the drunk guy was trying to stab him, Cameron bent the drunk guy's hand and stabbed him in self defense. There was only one problem, their was no witness's. So, Cameron went to court and was charged with 1st degree murder and was sentenced for 7 to 10 years. After the 7 to 10 years was up, it was time for Cameron to go home. Cameron was so happy because he finally gets to see his daughter for the 1st time. So, the only way that Cameron could get home, was by riding in a prisoner transport plane. There's something that totally goes wrong. One of the prisoners makes a very violent distraction by setting another prisoner on fire. The distraction was set so Cyrus the Virus; which plays John Malkovich can get outta his cuffs. This was planned before Cyrus got on the plane. So, Cyrus breaks outta his cage. Now, he finally has contol of the plane along with his 2 ruthless associates. One of Cyrus's associates is Nathan AKA Diamond Dog played by Ving Rhames and the other one is Billy played by Nick Chinlund. All 3 of them are the most vicious and dangerous prisoners. When Cameron finally notices that the prisoners have taken over the plane, he definetly does something about it. While the prisoner plane his headed to carson's airport, Detctive Vince Larcan who plays (John Cusack) investigates. Detective Larcan does all he can to try catch the prisoners before they escape and disappear into other states. The FBI definetly cannot let that happen. If it does their will be terrorism throughout the world.

I love this movie so much that i just wanna watch it over & over again. It has the best intense explosive action sequences ive ever seen in a movie; especially an R Rated one. This is one of the best Nicolas Cage movies ive seen. Outta the 3 main actors i'd have to say that (John Malkovich) is the most powerful actor in this. He was an amazing bad guy. I could see him on any prisoner flick. Nicolas Cage was my 2nd best actor. His acting was great, i just wasn't into his country voice. It got pretty annoying in the movie. Overall i recommend every action fan thats looking for lots of high energy action from start to finish to buy this asap. Its Awesome! Its an adrenaline rush thrill ride. Im definetly getting this on blu-ray.

"One wrong flight can ruin your whole day"

Former war hero Cameron Poe (Nicolas Cage) is sentenced to eight years in prison when he accidentally kills a man in a barroom brawl while defending his pregnant wife. When his release comes through, he's eager to see the daughter he's never met. However, Poe's original flight is delayed, so he's put aboard a flight transporting ten of the most dangerous men in the American penal system to a new high-security facility. One of the criminals, Cyrus "The Virus" Grissom (John Malkovich), is a serial killer and insane genius who has hatched a diabolical plot: with the help of several other hoods, including Diamond Dog (Ving Rhames), Johnny 23 (Daniel Trejo), and Garland Greene (Steve Buscemi), Cyrus and his men will hijack the plane and fly to a neutral nation where they can live as free men. Poe finds himself stuck in the middle; he has to find a way to get home, keep himself alive, look after his cellmate Baby-O (Mykelti Williamson), who will die without proper medicine, and try to help the cops on the ground, including agent Vince Larkin (John Cusack). Producer Jerry Bruckheimer's first film after the death of his partner Don Simpson, Con Air shows he learned well how to assemble the formula all by himself, with plenty of action, stunts, and special effects and not a lot of story to get in the way.

    Review
This movie sure has lots of action.

Behind the action there is also a small story line which is introduced in the beginning and then again returned to at the end of the movie. But that's about it, leaves you wanting more. The rest is pure action, action and more action. Some unique camera angles and interesting scenes but at many points you might start to think that is it too much? Going a bit overboard I would say but if you want to be more Rambo than Rambo himself, you have to go a bit overboard.

The second best part of the movie, beside Nicholas Cage, is the transexual shaking it to Lynyrd Skynyrd!

I love every bit of this movie because for one thing, it has a plethora of criminals and each are unique in their own way. Second, it has a romantic twist in it and I choke up at the end sometimes when he gets back to his girls that he's been waiting to see. I loved it too that Steve Buscemi escaped at the end, fabulous.
