A high-school is terrorized by a spate of killings where the killer taunts teenagers about their favourite scary movie. One social group thinks the killer may have something to do with what happened last summer when they ran down and killed a man on a country road and agreed to throw the body in the ocean and never speak about it again. Scary Movie is even cruder when it comes to its film parodies. The plot copies Scream scene for scene at times but in such a deadening way it seems more like a photocopy than a parody. Keenan Ivory Wayans? principal idea is to take a scene from Scream and then find some lame way to add a scatological joke. As it stands, Scary Movie will now likely only appeal to the early teen crowd, they who are still straining to catch a first glimpse of breasts, pubic hair, or girl's P.E. coach, Mrs. Mann's, hangin' ballsack.

This is the last thing that the Wayans bros. did while they were still funny and that's a good thing. This isn't brilliant, but its consistently funny to watch.
Much like the first Austin Powers, this movie works because it is a true parody of its subject matter, and while the sequels and terrible spinoffs just throw everything they can against the walls to make a joke out of any pop culture material they can, this one sticks to what it is.
There is plenty of low brow humor here, but it is all pretty funny, with some great laughs and a hard R rating to push it as far as it can go.
Deputy Doofy: Special Officer Doofy reporting!
Policeman #1: Hey, Doofy! Smell my fingers!
Deputy Doofy: What's that?
Policeman #1: That's when you know you've become a man, Doofy.
Deputy Doofy: Hey, Terry! Smell my fingers!
Policeman #1: What the hell is that?
Deputy Doofy: My ass!
Policeman #1: Get the hell out of here.
The movie stars two Wayans bros., Anna Faris in her first flick, Shannon Elizabeth at what can be considered her peak after the American Pie thing, Cheri Oteri, and some others, all doing what they can to make this work.
Once again, it all works well because of how close it sticks to the material being parodied, and that makes it all the more funny.

Bueno sacary movie la unica que me gusto fue la 2,en las otras un desastre,y tambien puede serla 3..Pero no es tan buena como la 2..Y lo que me gusto de la 3 es solo una sola partecita que los invertigadores peleaba con los marcianos y creian que ello no venian en paz,y lo que me gusto de la 2 es todo...Y...Tambien hay que darle merito a las otras peliculas pero bueno a esforsarce mas que le vamos a hacer..Y nada chau nos vemos...Me olvidaba aguante Slipknot....chau,bye
