The Boondock Saints, is a film that I just recently had the pleasure of viewing. I had never heard of the movie until I saw it in the seven day rental section at the video store. I picked it up not expecting much, but to my delight and surprise it turned out to be an incredible film. Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus did an amazing job of demonstrating brotherly love and even though they were killers, for some reason as a viewer I felt no sympathy for the victims, which probably was Troy Duffy's intention, and I simply enjoyed just hearing the MacManus brothers speak. I have the DVD and even though there are no special features I thought it would make a great addition to my movie collection. I know that not everyone feels the same way as I do, but it all depends on taste. If you get a chance to see the film I strongly recommend it, and I hope no one is disappointed. I look forward to the Boondock II: The Second Coming.

I've heard this movie compared to Death Wish (which I liked) but it's not. It's more like Pulp Fiction (which I didn't like). Their first murder was self defense and kind of funny but the rest were just gratutious. I hated the scene where the poor cat was killed.

A powerful thriller. Wickedly funny, twisted, bullet-riddeld fun. An action-packed thrill-ride that packs bullets, humor, brains, style and originality into one leathal dosage of a movie. Heart-pounding and adreniline-pumping. Thrilling, exciting, exhilerating and absolutely breathtaking. Willem Dafoe is brilliant and cool, it's one of the best performances of his career. A rocking good time. It's almost too enertaining for its own good. Lots of guilty pleasure fun that you cant get enough of. One of finest independent films I've seen ever. This film delivers the goods. It's an instant classic. A great mixture of film noir, neo noir and dark comedy. An edge of your seat flick that proves to be absolutely addictive.

if you didnt like this movie than your freakin crazy this is possibly the best movie ever made. I thought that there was an excellent mix of action and comedy. especially the part where the cop was dressed as a woman and the dude couldnt tell. i mean i found that hilarious. sure it was kind of stupid that he didnt know it was a dude but its a freakin movie and it cant get any better then this.

To bad Troy Duffy had to turn out to be such a cock. Otherwise we might have seen more movies like this...Quizz for everyone...IF there were to be a BDS2,who would be an...."appropriate" director for this film?

The worst movie ever made. I cannot believe that this passes for anything more than direct to video trash. I Don't understand how anyone could watch this movie and not see how flawed the plot is, how terrible the editing is, and how miserable the acting is. Seriously, worst fake accents in a movie, ever,
