This is spectacular. A genre bending film mixing explosive action, bone-chilling supernatural horror and surprising human tenderness. An awsome action-packed thriller. Stylish, gripping, thrilling and utterly exhilerating. A chilling, surprisingly effective and mind-blowing ride. A hard-rocking and explosive movie that you will love. A wicked soundtrack. A well crafted and performed flick. Brandon Lee gives a sensational performance.
alot of people like this,it was good, its not my fav.but good to watch.
Albrecht: You killed Tin-Tin?
Eric Draven: He was already dead. He died one year ago the moment he touched her. They're all dead. They just don't know it yet.
A rock guitarist is resurrected from the grave, and given super human abilities to take revenge on the people who were responsible for he and his girlfriends death the previous year. Now if that doesn't sound like a good comic book concept then you should watch something else.
This movie, which makes great use of it's art direction and production designs to fully realize a comic book world, is made even more eerie by the fact that Brandon Lee died while making this movie.
Lee, despite his unfortunate demise, does a very good job as the avenging hero, who goes back and forth between exacting his vengeance and communicating to those who still care about him. There is also Michael Wincott, who gives the very evil bad guy performance that this actor is used to. Former ghostbuster Ernie Hudson shows up as a cop sympathetic to these past murders as well.
Director Alex Proyas, who would go one to make the great Dark City, puts his limited budget to good use with the mentioned production design and other qualities as well. The passion in the making of this film shows with the Hard Rock/Metal soundtrack, the great dark atmosphere/cinematography and well handled caricatures of comic book type people done by the actors involved.
This movie is steeped in a Gothic type of atmosphere, including a finale that takes place on the roof of an old church, while it pours with rain, but it still does have the spirit of a comic. This is definetely apparent in the style of dialog and the way the action is handled, which can be easily scene as a frame right from the pages.
Very cool, very dark, and one of the best in comic book films.
Albrecht: Are you gonna disappear into thin air again?
Eric Draven: I thought I'd use your front door.
Cool movie. Just an all out action flick with some horror elements if you think about it. Brandon Lee is chilling.
Ehh, I thought this would be better because of all the hype. Turns out it wasn't very good.
A action film with a deeper meaning and someone who isn't your average superhero. Someone who's not afraid to fight for love and vengeance, even after death. True love is forever.
This is one of the most overrated movies I've seen. The original graphic novel by J. O'Barr is ten-thousand times better than this pathetic excuse for an adaptation.
I do have to admit, though, that the late Brandon Lee nailed the part. Too bad the rest of the movie wasn't as good as it's leading man.
I can't believe more people don't see the connection between The Crow and Blade Runner. Do yourself a favor and watch both films back to back. Storywise, yeah they're a lot different. In terms of tone and aesthetic quality they are very similar, and both stellar films.
I'm dying to see this..but I can never seem to find it any of our movie stores... :(

I remember watching this movie when i was small, i still love it to this very day! Great story line and everything! This film is definatly for those who enjoy a good gothic thriller!
It's really sad knowing that Brandon died because the gun was loaded on the set! The set up crew should really take these things into precautions! We wouldn't know what he may of become, im sure that he would of been the next Brad Pitt, but better! Him wife is now campaigning to unable the set up crew to use loaded guns on set.
Stupied how a life could be taken away that easily. Some sick websites APPARENTLY said that they got his death caught on camera and they are showing it, what real idiots!!!!!!!!!!!!
