This movie is so cute. I still cry every time Bailey is sick in the hospital. Everyone should have friends like that.
Awww gawd!! How cool is this movie! Dam I loved this, another one I for some dumb reason had no interest in seeing. It was so good.I have to stop doing that I am missing way too many really good movies. If you haven't seen this check it out, awesome chick flick!
It is a cleverly edited, heart-warming travelogue/diary of four good friends during their first summer apart after graduation. America Ferrera as Carmen, Alexis Bledel as Lena, Blake Lively as Bridget, Amber Tamblyn as Tibby, who ran into young Bailey - portrayed by Jenna Boyd. There are life lessons from watching the different experiences each of them goes through - new places, new faces, new emotions that each of them encounters/discovers in their segments. The link between each of their summer adventures/activities is a pair of jeans they 'sworn' to share.
This movie is very innocent and aimed for the tween-teenage girl audience. With that being said, it is what it is, and doesn't pretend to be anything else. I enjoyed it. I cut back to 4 stars for some of the cliches the writers included in the screenplay, but overall it's a solid movie to watch with your significant other. Although I don't think a group of guys out on the town should choose this as their activity.
i'm not an eleven year old girl. and none of you should be focusing on adolescents' pants, anyway.
I think it's more of a girl friendship movie which they can relate to...it's quite enjoyable though.
Well, I cannot believe I just gave a chick flick a good rating. I tuned in to this movie because I was extremely bored and nothing else was on. I usually avoid chick flicks at all cost, because they are usually too girly and melodramatic, and i am basically, a guy in a girl’s body, but i said what the hell? Just watch the movie, and if you hate it, you hate it. That is just it. I did not hate it. In fact, i loved it. It was not at all too dramatic. It was not some dinky girly lame-brain movie. It actually was about things that mattered. One of the girls have unresolved anger towards her father for leaving her at a very young age and then forming another entirely different family, leaving her feeling like he was ashamed of her. Another girl had unresolved feelings about her mother’s death and did something she later regretted because she realized that at the time she was running away from the pain and thoughts of losing her mom. Another girl finds herself caught in a Romeo and Juliet situation, when she visits her family in Greece, and falls in love with the son of a family of which her family considers rivals. Lastly, one depressed emotionless girl find herself forced to be friends with a little girl who wants to be her assistant. She later finds out that the little girl has a terrible disease and she realizes that this little girl helped her find and express her emotions and find her heart. It was a nice movie. I really liked it, to my surprise.
great movie!!:X:X I seen more than 2 times and I cryed..each time I see it...:X:X
the movie had nothing to do with the book. it was soo wrong. only half the movie was right...
for instance: Lena's grandmother wanted desperatley for her to like/love Kostos...DUH...god did no one who read the book first then saw the movie think 'hold up a second thats wrong'...Grrr...either way it was a good movie and lets see when they make the second movie how acurate they are.
I loved this movie. It has such a good message. I was so happy to hear they're making the second movie. I'm still reading the series but i own all books.
....ew....never ever EVER want to see this movie again...or the sequels. The only reason i went the first time was 2 go on a date...he didn't kno me very well...guess the emo hair and makeup made me look preppy...lol

I'm not sure what it is, but I like this movie more than a straight guy should.
