MCT:July 14, 2008Meh. I mean this was just a waste of 90 minutes. Its kinda hard to tell 8 point of veiws in 90 minutes. This was just worthless and a waste of money.

MCT:April 7, 2008Very cool flick,Highly recommended.Fast paced,very intens ,twists and turns everywhere.Love the cast Matthew Fox,the amazing Forrest Whittaker,Dennis Quaid as The President's special secret service right hand man.Really good,Don't even blink you might miss something.=)

With a Rashomon narrative style, the attempted assassination of the president is told from eight different perspectives.
Some nice ideas in here but it's so fast you may not get it first time. Told from different characters and their respective views it can get puzzling as it shifts backwards after a certain explosive point.
However this technique just suddenly stops in the 2nd half racing towards a, what felt like a rushed conclusion. On the plus side the action, music and twists keep the game alive. One hell of a car chase and some cool blackmail and slick gun shoot outs.
Only role i thought was a little worthless was that of Sigourney Weaver who wasn't given much to do at all.
Other than the ending, which was abit abrupt and general quickness this was a cool thriller,not totally original though, that has a stab at terrorism yet also on America between the lines. -

Très bon film. J'ai simplement été déçu au début à cause de la redondance. Mais ... le titre est très bien choisi. C'est rare que je dit cela, mais le titre français est parfaitement adapté. On perçoit l'action de différents angles et on en n'apprend d'avantage à chaque fois. Seulement, à chaque changement d'angle de vue (de personnage si on veut) et bien tout recommence du début. Redondant les 2-3 première fois. Par la suite, on voit des angles de l'extérieur et tous s'enchaine. Excellent.

Some minor gripes -- you had to suspend disbelief several times -- but overall highly enjoyable. For the most part the cast was strong and while there were multiple twists and turns the plot was never too convoluted or confusing.

MCT:December 3, 2008pretty good. repeating the "same" events over a few times was kinda annoying at first, but the climax of the movie was really good. action packed and suspenseful.

oh yeah also wanted to point out in this movie, the assassination was captured by 5 point of views.
The assassination of former US president Ronald Regan which was a warning assassination (he wasn't actually killed, just reminded to listen to his handlers and the fact that he was more of an actor who was just supposed to read the line) was also captured by 5 different cameras.posted 237 days ago -
Notice this:
-This movie played in theatres the weekend the DALLAS primaries started heating up...Dallas is an important spot in presidential assasinations
-This movie started on February 22nd in Canada,this goes back to John F Kennedy's assisnation.
-The USA was the only place in the world that this movie opened on February the 20th or you could say 2/20...that's also a double 2 (the 0 is unimportant) and this was ESPECIALLY concocted for America.
-The movie is an action packed thriller from COLUMBIA pictures...this has a link to Columbia university which was attended by Barack Obama (who they'll make the next president of the US) amongst other things.
The fact is that they have put this out in this particular time with certain elements proving one thing...it was preconceived or forethought...a lot of planning went into this. Maybe you've noticed this for a while now, but what is happening with the globe is being reflected in the films made for 'entertainment'.posted 237 days ago -

High impact movie! keeps u in ur seat! lol very intense, i liked it dispite the the reviews read- they are wrong!! it's a very good movie. It was my brother's movie for his 15th birthday present and im glad i went with him and a few of my friends joined us and i'm glad they did! we had a great day!
