The first clip for the upcoming fantasy movie "Nim's Island" has been released, featuring Jodie Foster (Panic Room) chatting with Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine) about food. When Foster is offered some worms to eat, she quickly turns down the meal in favor of her soup. Unfortunately, a seal has already devoured it.
The new movie is based on a children's book, in which Gerard Butler (300) and Breslin star as a scientist dad and his plucky daughter who live on a tropical Australian island. Nim (Breslin) hangs out with her animal buddies: sea lion Selkie, sea turtle Chica and a lizard named Fred.
Their idyllic life is upended when Jack's (Butler) boat is lost in a storm, and Nim reaches out for help from e-mail pal and Indiana Jones-like explorer Alex Rover, who actually is the literary alter ego of a reclusive San Francisco author played by Foster. The movie hits theaters on April 4th.
