Simon Pegg Wants to Write New "Star Wars" Story

According to ContactMusic, Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) wants to write a new "Star Wars" story, if George Lucas is not too angry at him.

Apparently, Pegg is a huge fan of the sci-fi films, but has criticized "The Phanton Menace." Now, he would be interested in working on the forthcoming "Star Wars" TV series, but fears that he has made enemies at the Lucasfilm production company.

"I might try to wheedle my way back into the affections of Lucasfilm and write an episode of the new live action Star Wars TV series," said Pegg.

The new animated series is set to premier on Cartoon Network in the fall.

    He should venture outside the usual Star Wars timeline. Kinda how KOTOR jumped back 5000 years in the timeline. The current timeline's getting . . . dare I say, old.
